Projects

GBPT has many completed and ongoing projects throughout the Glasgow area. We have selected a handful of projects and summarised them for you to look at. Great care is taken when taking on a project to use materials and craftsmanship that are appropriate to the building's age, style and structure. The Trust also tries to take full advantage of the wealth of creative talent available in Scotland in design and other professions. The Trust also provides professional services for both the public and private sector. This is often in the form of the production and co-ordination of feasibility studies/Options appraisals for historic buildings and structures. In addition the Trust undertakes project management work ranging from relatively small works to complex construction works involving major building and engineering operations.

Many projects undertaken by the Trust take a considerable period of time to come to fruition; a timescale of five years from inception to completion is not at all unusual, and sadly, some projects do not proceed at all, if funding is not made available or a suitable end user cannot be found.
